Ladies and Gentlemen of Margaret River and beyond…

It has been years in the making, plenty of sketch paper thrown in the bin, dozens of canvases recycled, and countless balls thrown to distract the dog, but it’s official…

I’ll be participating in the 2018 edition of Margaret River Region Open Studios!

I even have my very own page on the website!

So, make sure you start organising your visit around the region between 28 April and 13 May 2018!

Stay tuned, as I’ll be adding further details as the event nears and make sure you follow me on facebook or instagram to keep up with preparations!

It doesn’t matter how many times I try, I find it’s impossible to replicate the same painting twice!  I’ve tried so many times; perhaps because someone saw one of my paintings and exclaimed “oh, I love the painting Margaret has of yours, I’d like one just the same!” or simply because I love a painting so much I don’t want to part with it… the problem is, it just never works out!

Take these two little siblings for example…

The fact is, that every piece of art work I complete is a unique creation, the product of my thoughts, feelings, mood, the weather, my surroundings… it’s “my child”, if you can indulge the metaphor.

And, as all parents will know too well, for all the genetic similarities our kids might have, each child is a wonderfully unique creation that can not be replicated, duplicated or copied.
